Reading Challenge: Territory by Emma Bull
So I've been meaning to read one of Emma Bull's novels for a little while, & thought it would be War For The Oaks since that's the one she made such a splash with. I got impatient, though, & Territory was in at the library so I gave it a shot. This book has just about everything I like: cowboys, magic, a strong female protagonist, suspense, a smart horse & some tweaked gender roles. Except for a few little things that seemed a bit too vague (but that I very well could've missed in my shitty mental state), I enjoyed it.
Rec? Yep, if you're a sucker for the old west + magic, like I am. Ms. Bull is a great writer & I'll definitely be reading more of her work -- even those set outside of Bordertown.
