I find the whole "I'm gonna take over your entire screen with an ad before you can do anything on this site" philosophy a little tiring. I'm sure there's a way you can pay to upgrade your account and that will all magically go away, but I'm too cheap (and poor) to pay to use this site, so I guess I'll have to deal with it.
In other news, I have a wedding website here:
http://www.theknot.com/ourwedding/CassandraCobb&BrettLyon (I can't remember how to post a link, so go ahead an copy and paste into your browser). Read about the bride (me) and the groom (Brett), and about how we met, how he proposed, as well as tentative plans for the wedding day, such as where the ceremony will be and who is in the wedding party thus far. Don't forget to sign my guest book there!
I got my tax refund back last week, and I plan on setting most of it back for wedding fund (most importantly, putting a deposit down on a reception venue--these places are already booking for next summer! yikes!), but I thought I would take some money to spend on myself for new clothes, jeans, maybe a few new "grown up" things to wear when I student teach. And now that I actually have a little coin to spend, do you think I can find anything I WANT to buy?? Not a thing! I went with the intention of spending around $100-200 on some quality new things, and just...wasn't wowed by anything. I'm not really into the super-low-waisted jeans, or jeans that come pre-ripped and tattered...someone please tell me where to find some respectable (and plus-sized) jeans! I think out of an entire day of hardcore shopping with intent to buy, I came home with two tops, totaling under $20 (for both tops combined), and some pretty underthings (I spend more on underwear than outerwear). That's not bad...but I had more in mind. *sigh* oh well...I guess that's more to spend on the wedding? Or maybe toward a wedding dress?
