New Story

Well, I wrote the beginning to a new story, and I liked it so much, a second part is already in the works. I call my new story "The Blind Path". Hope you love it.

Blind Path:

The boy was blind. That much was obvious, by looking at the bleak milky color where his iris should have been visible. He was dressed in a white robe, his favorite clothing, according to his mother. Commander Reynolds stepped forward and took the boy’s hand and shook it, introducing himself as “Ren”.
“I know your name.” the boy responded sharply. The Commander stepped back after a quick intake of breath. “So it is true then?” He asked. “You are able to sift through the minds of others?” The boy’s head jaunted slightly, as if trying to pick out what answer would be correct. “Why don’t you let me ask you a question, Commander?” said the boy. The Commander opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off again. “Commander, they say that when someone loses a sense, their other senses grow stronger. But when I was born, my parents were told that none of my other senses were above average in any way, some even below average.” The Commander’s eyebrows did a little dance from surprise, to shock, to realization, then finally resting on contemplation. “So,” said the Commander, eyes locked on the boys own. “You can read minds, then...” He trailed off for a minute, as the boy’s lips slowly curled into a smile. “What else can you do?”
“Commander, do you have a pen?” the boy asked sweetly. A puzzled look came onto his face, but he slowly pulled a ballpoint pen and before he could put it into the blind boy’s hand it was jerked away by some unseen force. It flew toward the boy, where it attained a steady orbit around his hand. The Commander recoiled again, but was stopped by a sudden sharp pressure against his back. The pen had flown from the boys hand and stopped pointing into his back. It then quickly slid up to the jugular vein in the Commander’s neck, where it hovered at the boy’s whim. The boy’s smile faded, and he pulled away the pen, returning it to its place in the Commander’s pocket. “Telekinesis!” gasped the Commander. “Unbelievable.” Then suddenly he sensed why the boy’s smile had faded.
“You want me to kill it for you, don’t you?” said the boy.
