Update & Reminders!
With less than 5 weeks to go until Midimeet 2010 - *bounces* - I thought now would be the time to update and give a few reminders.
Update
A table for 16 has been booked on Friday, 6 August 2010, at the Blue Orchid. Really looking forward to that! If you wish to be added to the merry throng let me know, but sooner rather than later would be good.
We’re hoping the provisional programme will be confirmed in the next week.
GillO has kindly agreed to offer her services for a guided walk on Sunday post-Midimeet to either Kennilworth Castle or Coventry Cathedral/Time Team excavations, whichever garners the most interest.
Reminders
Membership closes in less than 3 weeks. We look forward to greeting old friends and making new...although to-date no new friends have come forward. Don’t be shy! It’s fun!
If you are a member and have not yet booked your accommodation, then you have less than 3 weeks to take advantage of the group rate on offer.

We have received no nominations for new Midimeet Committee members. Don’t forget that the ‘old’ team are stepping down this year to give the opportunity for new blood to take over and formulate future events. The Midimeet is for members, by members - which includes all sorts of support (goodie bags, technical support, programme contributors, website, LJ, banner challenge, actually being there), but it also needs some folk to organise it. For more information of the current roles, please go here, or if you have an idea for something completely different, let us know.
There has been a terrific response by artists to this year’s Banner Challenge - they’re gonna look sooo good at the Midimeet! - but there is still time for more! The closing date for banners is 31 July 2010.
And a quick reminder to members about bringing a raffle donation, if possible. I hope mine proves useful and finds favour. *grins*
