Decided not to give up
I decided that I'm NOT giving up on this National Guard idea. I'm going to wait a little while, until things settle down with my family, and then see if it works out. I still have plenty of time before I'm too old, so there's no rush yet. And I'm thinking of it this way--the third time's the charm. The Navy thing was a bust, then this time with the NG didn't go so well. The next time will be the one that sticks!
