Okay everyone. This is going to be my Writing Journal, where I'll post stuff I write. Decided to make this a separate journal so those of you who don't want to read it, don't have to. Though I hope you will. :)
What this journal is -
A place where I can share my fiction and sometimes non-fiction
A place where I can get positive feedback on said writings
A place where I am able to improve my writing style and form
A place where I can hopefully entertain anyone who reads my stuff
What this journal is NOT -
A place where you can demean me or my writing
A place where you can post comments that have nothing to do with my writing or its critiques
A place where you can post your own writing
A place where you can be totally negative without telling me how to fix something
Now, how it works. All entries, save this first, will be locked. If you want to read and comment on my writing, you have to either add me as a friend, or email me at piter_kenobi@obeyyour.tv. Either way, I'll add you. (Though you'll see new stuff when I post it if you add me as a friend.) I'm not going to discriminate; everyone who wants to read this stuff, can. You just have to obey the rules.
Also, you have to take an active part in critique. This isn't a free library. You can't just sign up and read and then do nothing. You have to give something back. Not necessarily on every post. Or even every other post. I'm not going to dictate your participation, aside from you have to actively tell me what you think from time to time. If you're not active enough, I'll take you off the list. I reserve the right to decide what "not active enough" means, though I'm gonna be pretty lenient. ;)
Now for legal stuff. Everything written here is protected under copyright. Means I can sue you if you steal it. ;) You may not reproduce or mirror my work. However, you may link to it, provided it is made clear that I am the author of the work. Also, please let me know if you link to here. I like to know who's reading. Each of my posts will have their own copyright notice at the end. Just a formality, but will protect me from evil men with bad suits trying to steal my stuff. :)
Special thanks go out to
ta_chuang for pointing me to
WhatIsCopyright.org and
BitLaw.com, which have been very helpful. Also, muchas gracias to
adamdray for more legal answers, though they may have been guesses. ;) And thanks will go out to
stephdray, because I know she'll be a valuable asset in this venture. And finally, thanks to everyone else that decides to do this. You're all too, too cool.
