Can you ever really be over someone?
A colleague of mine (in Dining Services) is named Martin. And has a French accent. I just met him today and my heart dropped right into my stomach having to talk with him. It made me miss mnv_iii.
Which is funny because I'm no more lonely than usual and I know that we made the right decision moving on with our lives (it wasn't working) and I'm happy that we're back on speaking terms as friends.
But we had some really great times together and I still care about him. I guess I feel the same way about my other two ex-BFs as well (less so my HS sweetheart since that feels like a whole lifetime ago now). It's nice seeing them and I don't have the same kind of feelings for them as I used to, but we had such a nice relationship in a lot of ways that I get a little nostalgic. It's kind of bittersweet, you know?
I wonder if that will change.
