Very compelling. You still want them to get somewhere with it, no matter what, sharing everything there is to share, because they're so perfect for each other. But it's also fascinating how loving someone past the fact that they don't fit in the ordinary categories can work and be fullfilling in a different way.

Thank you so much for your words. I thought a lot about them.
I don't know if you mean by sharing everything there is to share that they should sleep together? There's always this association in society that ultimate closeness and intimacy can only be reached via sexual acts, but for Jensen, it isn't like that at all. Doing something romantic (like here the massage or cuddling), fulfills him. There isn't anything in him that wants, craves or needs sexual contact.

Anyway... I'm sorry for rambling about that to you :) Thank you so much for reading and sharing your thoughts <3

Yes, that was what I found so intriguing, that as a reader, you're still wired to *want* for the story to go that way (into an actual sexual relationship that is) because that's where it's supposed to go, right? Wrong, because there are people out there who feel differently and who still manage to make their relationships work, for which this was a stunningly intimate and heart-warming example. Teaches you that even though you think you're world-savy and tolerant and open-minded that your brain is playing tricks on you sometimes, and suddenly nuture comes knocking at the back door. Makes rarities like this, who unapologetically celebrate those differences stand out all the more.
Does that clarify my previous comment a bit? (and yes, I was aware of the pitfalls of interpretation in there but couldn't come up with a better way to say it...)

Oh, wow. I think I get it now :D And I absolutely agree with you on everything you just said.

Also, I can't begin to tell you how happy it makes me to know that the fic evoked this kind of feeling... Thank you again!
