so i had another hard work out today and I tried some new things to battle the after math cravings. I ate my normal breakfast. Whole Grain toast with peanut butter and a piece of fruit. Then a couple hours later (i woke up very late this morning) I had lunch. I ate a pretty carb heavy lunch at that. Whole Grain pasta with my moms homemade spaghetti sauce. I had no bread with that. It was delicious and worth it. I went to the gym but i had this terrible caffeine headache. So i went to starbucks to grab a tall iced coffee one sip (literally) and my headache was gone. At the gym I did my work out in the reverse order I usually do. I started with squats and stretching then instead of going straight to cardio for 40 minutes I did strength training. I'm very self conscious about my arms so every other day i work my triceps and my biceps a little. I do a little bit for my back and chest as well. Then I did my cardio and I really varied it up today. I started with a 5 minute walk on a small incline. then did intervals of jogging and walking for 10 minutes then i walked for 5 minutes at a very high incline then jogged at no incline for 2 minutes. I finished my workout on the bike for 20 minutes doing a hill work out. I feel fantastic right now. I came home and made food immediately. I made veggies and scrambled eggs (half egg whites) and grilled chicken. very high in protein and no carb cravings!!! I did nibble a little bit of this cookie we had in the house, but seriously it wasn't even a full bite. Let's see how i feel around 9 tonight. i work 5-9 so that means no meal break, im gonna bring yogurt and maybe a banana or an apple to eat on my 10 minute break.
