Fish in the sea, you know how I feel...

I've fallen back in love with original writing.  Crazy, I know, after all this time... roleplaying has finally got my juices flowing again, and while I really don't want to abandon it - because it's just so much fun - I hope to be less active.  The dribble of words I posted yesterday - a story called Helen's Husband, which I wrote for Prose Challenge - was so much fun to write, depressing as it was, and it just reminded me that I really like grabbing characters from nowhere, throwing them into life and then yanking them back out again 1,000 words later.  I don't even know who Helen and Jack are... let's think.  Helen's a primary school teacher, which makes her a bit creepier if you ask me, and Jack is something a little more high-flying; banking, maybe, or business.  Yeah - and it makes her feel slightly inferior, I suppose, though there's no reason for that.  He brings more money in, but she enjoys her job more.  She enjoys her husband more than he enjoys his wife, too.  He's not a total scumbag but he's never really been in love with her, I think; not properly.  They've got two kids - maybe the first was why they ended up married.  I can't see Jack asking her by choice.

Um, rant.  Sorry.

We went down to Whitby today and I bought a new dress; I love it to bits already!  It's not quite EGL but it's getting there, and that's how I really want to dress... it's EGL enough for the knee-high white socks, which is good enough for me!  That reminds me; I need to order some.  Not that I'll remember to do that.

I really want to wear it to college but I have a feeling it's too cold at the moment... plus with just the one dress it'd be a bit of a fail of a style change.  I'll see if I can get any more first.

Uh, today's writing block thing is rubbish.  I'd have to go all Sciencey!
