The mission for those of us who answer the questions, should we accept it, is to stay positive about our writing and ourselves, but to also be fair about our shortcomings.1. Of the fic you’ve written, of which are you most proud

1. Of the fic you’ve written, of which are you most proud?
Strangely every time I look back I find it's my gen fic I like the most - it has the most poetry too it, and plays with the themes of the show. But of course there's no audience for it :P
2. Favourite tense
Present!
3. Favourite POV
Third person limited
4. What are some themes you love writing about?
For fic? The fine line between human and cylon, the idea of what destiny means if you believe in it or if you don't, the cycles we embrace and the ones we break out of.
5. What inspires you to write?
Little moments that contain stories, or the moments right after what we see.
6. Thoughts on critique
Open to it, though I choose what I listen to.
7. Create a character on the spot... NOW!
Susie is an orphan... (that's literally how all my characters were born when I was nine. I read a lot of boxcar children books.)
8. Is there a character you love writing for the most? The least? Why?
Kara will always have a special place in my heart, and this one weird, prophetic kid from the novel.
9. A passage from a WIP
"The day the world changed, Lucy Crenshaw was the only one who didn’t know, and she started everything on its path to unraveling entirely by accident. Her father had woken her in the middle of the night, curled up in the armchair in Andrea’s living room, and carried her home to bed. There was no news yet, he whispered, and he kissed her forehead for a long moment before tucking her in and murmuring good night. In the morning her grandmother woke her, fed her, and sent her off to school. The events of the previous day felt like a nightmare fading in the morning light. The world had been reset; everything would be fine."
10. What are your strengths in writing?
I've been told I do pacing well, and the more I write these characters, the more real they become at least to me.
11. What are your weaknesses in writing?
I'm a little worried with this project that I know so much back story in my head that either too much or too little will make it onto the page.
There's no audience for genfic? Am I the only person who likes it? Granted, I read a whole lot more smut, but that's true of all my reading, not just my fandom reading. lol
I don't know, I think a lot of people in fandom are shippers and get most excited to see something about their ship get posted. So fic about hybrids or unnamed sixes or my Daniel hypotheses aren't as well-read :)
I personally find those sorts of explorations extremely interesting. I am not usually sparked to write it, but I love reading it. There's so much to BSG, beyond the main characters. I am just really kind of stuck on Kara. lol
