DH hall
What Happend
I went to the detention center yesterday and it was amazing. When we first got there we had to sign in and do all that stuff then we went over to the auditorium and waited while the band got set up and the practiced. A few people were there while we were setting up and this one black guy was sitting in the front listening to them play and he just got us so excited becuase he was just so in love with our playing it was awsome. He would stand up and clap after they practiced each song. He came up and asked us where our church was and stuff and he would comment on their playing and he was just in love with joe's singing he was so cool. Then when everyone arrived we started worship and it was so amazing I've never felt closer to god than when I was worshiping there with those kids who had had so many problems. The Julie and Erica did a dance and all the guys in the palce were up clapping and dancing a few of the girls were too it was funny. Then Lindsey came up and talked about Saul and how if even such a troubled man could be saved that they could. And when we were praying Lindsey said that about 30 kids raised their hands to get saved it was amazing. Then we got to talk to them and stuff and this one girl named Latosha came up and grabed a hold of my arm and walked around with me. She was so sweet I couldn't imagine her doing anything to get put in there. But then before it was time for her grouop to go she put a braclet on my arm and said it was a best friend braclet so I gave her my hairband one for good luck. I think god will do amazing things in her life. This expirence has done so many things for me I can't wait to do more stuff like this I think Lindsey said she would be doing more!!! Yay! God showed me so many things through this It was just so awsome!!!
