“Stabler.” It was rarely good when the phone rang in the SVU squad room at 7am on a Sunday.
“Happy Easter Daddy.” A chorus of voices sang down the phone line. Elliot couldn’t stop the grin that spread across his face at the joy in his children’s voices.
“Easter? Is it Easter? Are you sure about that?” He tried for a serious tone.
“Yes Daddy, we’re sure, the Easter Bunny came and left us eggs and everything”
Elliot kicked back and enjoyed the short respite from the bleakness that had made up his world since Kathy had taken the children away.
