So I'm a derp and university is just kind of TAKING OVER EVERYTHING but I am finally replying to this! ANYWAY.
The only reason I figured Aziraphale is a little slower to accept Crowley's friendship is that, well, he doesn't really think much of humans or demons; at this stage, he's very much a 'live and let live' sort of bloke, but I think he does tend to remind himself a little what Crowley is -- of course, I could be wrong, since I vaguely remember that there's a bit in the book when they're in the Garden and Aziraphale seemed alright with him then... Hmmm.
I do also imagine that Aziraphale is not happy that Crowley Fell at all. He probably feels a little hurt and betrayed about that, and I can imagine that he felt horrible watching him Fall. This is just general musings though, nothing to do with the actual shot xDDD
AND I am glad you liked it! :D I love writing historical things, and I think I mentioned that the Renaissance is one of my favourite time periods, so I'll almost inevitably write more Renaissance things. Especially Venice related. With gondolas. I also like the dynamic between the two of them a lot, so I end up just drabbling endlessly some days. xD
Oh, thank you for that! I got carried away with the metaphor; I'll fix it eventually <3.
