Summary: Kaz wakes up to Hyde tracing his tattoos, and returns the favor.
Author's Comment: I've had this fic in mind for awhile, and wrote it out last week. Have been too busy/distracted to edit, but finally got a chance to finish it up.
Kaz stirred as he felt light fingers gliding along his arm. He mumbled something and turned away, trying to reclaim his hold on sleep. Those fingers were distracting though, making it impossible for him to concentrate on anything but the touch.
Finally, Kaz surrendered his hold on sleep and opened his eyes. He was lying on his side with his arms wrapped around Hyde, who had woken him up by following the designs inked into his skin. Hyde?” Kaz yawned. “What are you doing?”
The singer beamed. “I’m tracing your tattoos.” He squirmed a little, and Kaz stretched his inked arm across the smaller man’s chest so Hyde could continue.
“Why?”
Hyde shrugged. “I felt like it.”
Kaz chuckled and watched Hyde, enjoying his childish lover. “Should I do the same to you?” he ran his finger along the tip of the angel wing curling around Hyde’s shoulder.
The singer giggled. “If you want.”
In response, Kaz sat up and pulled Hyde with him. He then turned his lover around to get better access to his back. Hyde leaned forward a little as Kaz followed the wing design inked across the singer’s back. He loved those wings. They were proof that Hyde was Kaz’s own personal angel.
Hyde sighed in contentment. “Oh, that feels good. Keep doing that.”
“Sure.” Kaz was happy to obey and continued to trace each individual feather. He kissed Hyde’s shoulder once he’d finished and slid his hands down to the band of thorns tattooed around his lover’s biceps. These weren’t as special to him as the angel wings were, but he loved them too since they were a part of Hyde, and he loved Hyde more than anything.
“There.” Kaz kissed the top of the singer’s head and drew back, smoothing Hyde’s fluffy blonde hair down.
“I wasn’t done yet though.” Hyde turned around.
Kaz leaned back against the pillows and propped up his legs so his lover could reach his other tattoos. Hyde sat down next to him and traced the designs on Kaz’s legs, a content smile on his face. The guitarist watched him in silence, enjoying the touch and the time with Hyde. He wasn’t sure what had motivated Hyde to want to trace all of his tattoos, but he didn’t mind. It was a nice way to start the morning.
Once Hyde had finished with the tattoos on his legs, Kaz pulled him back into his arms. They should probably get up soon, but he didn’t want to move or let go of Hyde yet. They’d been so busy with VAMPS that free time to relax like this was a rarity. And he intended to enjoy this luxury while he could since he knew that both of them couldn’t stay in bed forever. They had to get up and get ready for the day, but they had time to cuddle before stepping back into their busy lives.
