I’ve left some comments mentioning how my hands and wrists have been bothering me lately. This started around December 20th I believe? Maybe a little earlier. My hands start acting up during the day when I’m doing activities that require the steady use of my hands (essentially anything) and usually it’s a very low pain level. More annoying than anything else though it can get painful. Well I had what I thought was a carpal tunnel flare up where I was feeling burning and tingling throughout my hand, fingertips, wrist, and even some pain in my elbows. I thought I was using my hands too much so I started wearing my splints throughout the whole day thinking that would help. Wrong! Doing so gave me fucking tendinitis. I had no idea that was possible so when I went and saw my doctor last week I was shocked to hear that not only do I have carpal tunnel in my right hand and a nerve trapped around my left elbow, but I also had tendinitis.
It’s been almost a week since that appointment and I’m feeling a lot better. I wear the braces at night now, I’m doing my tendinitis exercises and icing when I need to, and my doctor said I should get an ergonomic keyboard. I’m still getting used to using it but so far it’s making typing much easier. It’s just funny because I have a 13.3” Mac and my new keyboard is a good 3-4” longer than my computer. So there is some improvement it’s just slow. But my wrists aren’t hurting badly anymore so that’s one good thing. I've been able to some writing again.
Now for a bit of news… my move out to New York City date was supposed to be last Friday but that was postponed due to my sister’s boyfriend losing a family member. So now I’m tentatively going out on the 20th. The delay is kind of nice since it gives me more time to pack up and sort things out. Apply for jobs. See my friends one last time.
I also see that the GazettE are coming to NYC in April. They were the first visual kei band I got into and while I fell out of the fandom for a few years thanks to the association with a nasty person I cut out of my life… I’m going to try to get a ticket to see them. I’ve been in Japan twice and never saw them there even though I did keep thinking about trying to get tickets. I’ll be living in NYC for at least a year so I might as well try to get a ticket! It’ll be expensive but whatever. YOLO. Much as I hate that phrase. Was also looking into getting Lycaon's last live but looks like I missed the pre-order date? I think I could still order it but it's probably best to just wait until I for sure have a job before I drop money on another live DVD. To quote my sister, I've been hemorrhaging money what with prepping for the move, ordering furniture to the apartment, etc.
