Some good news
I finally managed to get a job. It's nothing career oriented so that's a disappointment... but a paycheck is a paycheck and I'll take what I can until I can get a proper job. I'm working as a cashier at Meijer (it's the midwest equivalent of Walmart or Target). It's a smaller store and so far all the coworkers and higher ups I've met are pretty friendly. Customers are customers. Some are assholes, some are fine. Most are pretty nice though and they're patient which I appreciate. A dad and his son came in and this little boy was so sweet. I'm wearing my wrist braces at work and he gave my wrists this alarmed look then looked at me "What happened to your wrists?" It was sweet.
The wrist issues I mentioned in my last post are still continuing. I haven't been on my computer much and just using it today I remembered why. When I'm typing first I'll feel it in my index fingers and then it travels down my hand to eventually bother my wrists. My right one is especially bad since that's my dominant hand. Just driving to work sent a stabbing pain down my wrist. I've been having to wear my braces to basically do anything. Went to the doctor and she advised I see a specialist so I have an appointment on July 1st. Hoping something good will come out of it because the office jobs I want to apply for would probably be impossible for me if even half hour of typing bothers me :/ So I'll be at Meijer for a while I think. I hope to have a proper job before the end of the summer but I'm giving myself a month off from jobhunting and then I'll get back to it and start sending out resumes again.
As for writing, I started a new fic for the July contest at jrockyaoi and I'm about halfway done with that. Maybe a little more. I just need to finish a couple more scenes and type everything up then revise. I work today and tomorrow but hoping to finish things up on Tuesday. Then finish up another oneshot and then I can tackle the vampires again to see if I can get their part done. I have one fic almost done I just have to type one scene out of my notebook and finish it then I can post that. I'm hoping to get at least one fic posted this week. I've gone back to writing in notebooks since with that way I can actually write longer and I won't get distracted by the internet. Though that's still a problem since I have things I still need to type out of my Japan notebook... Someday I'll get things done lol. Maybe I should just give myself a deadline to have everything typed by the end of June. Or July.
