Oh gosh, vampire baby. I never wrote that part of Atsushi's life so I never determined who it was that took care of him. It's not something I would write so it wasn't important to figure out the details. Everyone is that helpless when they're a new vampire

I would be interested to read about Atsushi's turning! Is it something you would think about writing in the future?

I'm not interested in writing it as that would just be too much backstory. When my friend and I were actively writing Atsushi and Yuuki's history, I did give Atsushi some storyline. He's the youngest son of a general who is more interested in being a painter than pursuing the art of war. He's walking back to his home when he's attacked by a vampire and basically left to die in an alley. Another vampire clan finds him and looks after him
Atsushi ends up leaving since he hates this new life and he travels to the north to be alone since he doesn't trust himself around people. Only to have his soon-to-be lover cross his path and welcome him into his home and his life
