Tuesday Writing Prompt: Six Degrees of Separation

Aug 08, 2006 23:15

Tuesday's Prompt has been quiet of late so we are introducing a new regular Tuesday feature to inspire some creativity and get words moving.

The idea of the new prompt is that I present you with two things that you should link together via a piece of writing. For instance:

a shovel, a shooting star

You then have to absorb these things into your consciousness and decide how you can link them into a piece of writing - be it prose, poetry, play or whatever you want. The link can be as direct or vague as you like. They could play a pivotal part in the narrative, or they could simply be part of an image or buried in the background. You decide what role they play. The only rule is that they should be in there somewhere in some fashion. No timelimit or deadline - spend as much or as little time on it as you like.

So today's two things for you to thread together are...

a mirror, a barking dog

Okay? Got that? Any questions feel free to ask.

Kudos to clare_dragonfly for the prompt title BTW!
