The write_away community has spoken, and the Huckleberry Blue Bandits won the second challenge. Unfortunately, that means that two players from the Twelfth Yellow Knights and Gatsby Green Team must be eliminated.

Viola sat facing the massive picture window, watching the rain run down the panes. She sighed and tried to turn her attention back to her anatomy textbook, but her eyes refused to focus. She met her mother in the hallway. It was like meeting a taller, more weathered, more polished version of herself. The most obvious difference was their hairstyles for the identical sable-colored hair: where Viola’s was long and sweeping, Wilhelmina’s was short, coiffed, controlled. Classic Chanel replaced Viola’s casual basics on the same slim, but longer frame. Looking closer one would see the same full mouth, the same apple cheeks and the same square chin. Ah, but the keen observer would be surprised at how eyes could change a person’s appearance. Wilhelmina’s were a gray like lead polished to a gun-metal gleam. Viola’s- wider, a soft gray-blue like low-hanging clouds threatening to storm. Where Wilhelmina’s honed in, Viola’s enveloped ( ... )

hey, as for Wilhelmina’s were a gray like lead polished to a gun-metal gleam, make that Wilhelmina’s were a gray like lead flat carbon steel polished to a gun-metal gleam, yaddayaddayadda...

hey, nice detail you bring up w. sat phone-- I remember reading a non-fiction book about a woman who in earning her masters in business at Harvard, went to Africa in hopes of setting up American-invested business (I think it ended up being Belgian-invested) and she landed on cell phones, because land lines were a huge mess tied up with the United Nations & other "assistance" orgs which were no longer assisting.
