Mixers Notes: Made for waywardmixes Round #5 challenge: Alternate Universes.
Merlin is a show with a new take on the King Arthur myths. It starts when Arthur is still just a prince, and Merlin becomes his servant. Together they protect the kingdom, ridding it of evil magical creatures at the command of King Uther (aka King Anti-Magic). Slowly, they become equals and begin to understand each other. Oh, and Merlin's magic is still a secret. How that works is probably the biggest mystery of the show.
Modern day Merlin AUs are probably some of my favorite things in the world. They take everything I love about the show, and just transport it into the 21st century. This mix talks basically about wanting and longing for the one you love. I think no matter what age Arthur and Merlin are in, they're still stuck in the same cycle of pining for the other, and this mix I think reflects that. There are a few reincarnation elements to this mix as well, but it wasn't my original intention. :P
