Winters first snow,
in the moonlight of darkness,
fades in and out of light,
sticks on my coat.
Lighting a cigarette against the window,
my footprints follow me.
Walking, forgeting chilling finger,
forgetting self,
forgetting everything but
crisp cool air, cigarette left hand,
skittles, and snow.
Blowing off cigarette smoke
with strong winterly winds
running into non random boys,
getting high for the lease,
is interesting the way light fades,
nmy muscles burn and twitch,
but that might be the exercise.
Such winter nights,
like this are difficult sometimes.
