Joe Cantonelli was a little chubby guy, used to move ammo and money for Tony Zucco. When Zucco got himself plugged, Joe was left out in the rain. He wasn't ever really high enough on the ladder to get himself noticed by the cops, and in Gotham, it's real easy to make cop attention go away. Unless, if course, that attention comes from Jim Gordon.

Fat Joey wasn't ever the kinda guy who'd pop up on Gordon's radar, though. So, he slid through the cracks. Wound up handling some heavy orders for Gunhawk and his Gunbunny a couple years back, when the Bat bowed out and let that choirboy in the armor take his place. Then, I heard he relocated to Bludhaven. Fell backwards into a gig working for Dudley Soames and Chief Redhorn.

Fat Joey was the guy I could always pick up teflon-coated 44's for the wrist magnums from. Don't know where he got 'em. Don't care. Word had it, he had a brother in RAMPART, out in LA. The anti-gang units always got the holepuncher and copkiller bullets, even if they're just seizures that they took from someplace else.

You give me a bullet, and I can prep it for whatever work needs doin', you know?

They found Fat Joey downriver, in a landfill. His tongue was sliced out, and nailed to the wall of the caretaker's tin shack.

Fat Joey wasn't a snitch. So, why'd he get killed like one?

Probably better for me to operate in the Haven anyway. There, I don't always gotta worry about the Bat having a moment, and deciding I need to go back to Arkham.

Plus, it's close enough I can commute, and be back in time to help Zoe with her trig homework. Be nice to have my kid make it into a good college.

Time to go to work.
