Okay, the update

Well, a lot has happened since I posted last.
A friend is moving in two months. It makes me a little sad, and I worry a little about her finding a job. Seems that a lot of places are laying off right now, and I wish them good luck. Also, they should visit from time to time (hint hint).
Nat came to visit in February (why I didn't update this in Feb). She flew down the 10th, and went back the 21st. It was a very nice time. We saw a NIN concert in Milwaukee (very nice, they played all but three songs off their older albums, and finished with Head Like a Hole!), took her around Madison and Milwaukee, had her meet the family (minus Pedro), Kim, Jason, Jason's then-girlfriend, Skip, little Stacy, Judy, and Julie. She got sick for three days, though, so I was doing my best to have her rest and recover. We did a Mitsuwa run, and did some shopping, and hit the Milwaukee Art Museum as well. We also ate out a LOT (there are so many good places to eat around here, I had to show her some). We also went bowling, as she had never played bowling with ten pins. (I'll tell you how the 5 pin version is in June).
The weekend after, I met up with Kim, Jason, Stacy, Skip, and Phil at Kim's place. Was nice. Magic was fun, even though I never won one of the big multiplayer games. It was just fun causing havoc. I'm getting addicted to more anime as well (although I'll go on the record that the latest Naruto stuff isn't any good whatsoever. I'm dying for an end to the filler season.). Skip will be leading the Anime Club next year, which is cool. It'll be interesting to see if it lasts a few more years.
My job has been going nuts. My boss and all of the business side of an application I support were laid off, and several other people I knew there have left. We finished one project, are finishing a second project, and are right in the midst of a third project. There's a fourth and fifth project in the way this year, too. On the plus side, I finished my probation period (now, I'm in the union there) and got a year-end bonus (it was small, but still a bonus). It and a bit of my paycheck is going to fix my brakes on my car (they were really bad when Nat was down, I fixed them while Nat was still recovering from being sick, and cost $600 ish).
Other than that, my apartment's a disaster right now. I'll need to clean that up soon. But people are free to call ahead and stop by, and I'll try to clean it up soon.
Okay, if I think of anything else, I'll mention it. Now it's time for me to get ready for work... blah.
