I watched Todd Solondz's Life During Wartime, the sort-of-sequel to Happiness. It does have an exciting cast, with Paul Ruebens being pitiful, Ally Sheedy being mean, Shirley Henderson being kooky, Charlotte Rampling being old, etc. It is less disturbing/shocking than Happiness, and sadder, and the title is good (are we not all living in wartime?), and there's interesting use of music, including an eponymous song by Solondz, but Solondz isn't really getting any better as a director and I'm not convinced people should continue to finance his films. Remember Hal Hartley? He was briefly popular.

Solondz did play "Zany Reporter" in long-forgotten Michelle Pfeiffer comedy Married To The Mob. Life During Wartime was filmed in Puerto Rico, Minneapolis, and Toronto, but if it was set in those places it might be better. I guess Puerto Rico is cheaper than Florida.

The French title of No Country For Old Men was "Non, ce pays n'est pas pour le vieil homme".
