This year the Brit awards are giving a prize for the best performance at the Brits of the past 30 years. Unbelievably, this is not nominated:

When you think of the Brit awards there are only two performances that come to mind, one featuring the KLF and Extreme Noise Terror and the other interrupted by Jarvis Cocker. But at least they have nominated Michael Jackson's Earth Song.

In other Brits news, the Daily Mail is complaininng because Susan Boyle wasn't nominated in the best female vocalist category. You could point out that Boyle doesn't write her stuff, play instruments, produce her record, pr do anything about a million people couldn't do, and she didn't even win a talent show. They didn't nominate Alexandra Burke and she actually WON something. But they did nominate Florence and the Machine whose only top ten hit was a cover of a song by The Source Featuring Candi Staton. Maybe it is an anti Simon Cowell conspiracy, though they picked Leona instead of La Roux or Little Boots. Never mind Burke's 2 number ones, Little Boots' Remedy got higher in the singles charts than anything by SuBo!
