Work Xmas meal tonight. Some people are working today because they've a project due; they're going out drinking before the meal, and will probably text me. Unsure if I want to get drunk. Still don't know what the vegetarian menu option is.
On the positive side, it means I miss Mary's birthday Singstar party, which is also tonight. Last year for Mary's birthday we ended up at the dodgy indie night at the Citrus Club dancing to Love Will Tear Us Apart, so this year's event is obviously much worse.
My younger sister's threatening to have a Singstar party for her birthday too, and that'll be much harder to get out of. And unlike Jo's cancelled barbecue-karaoke event last July, I don't see any way of it being weathered away.
I was just chatting on MSN to someone I know who's going camping at Stonehenge for the winter solstice. Apparently it's much quieter than for the summer solstice.
I've now bought more than half of my Xmas presents (plus birthday gifts for 2 people who have birthdays between Xmas and New Year). I ordered some dodgy Catholic tat for a lapsed-catholic I know, and the store has been emailing (into my spam folder) and left a phone message because they didn't have one of the products. Such customer service.
