I can't decide if I should go to Carlisle this Friday to see Johnny Boy? Come on! It'll be fun. It's Carlisle, home town of Belinda Carlisle*. It's outrageous that they're playing Carlisle AND Preston but not coming to Scotland. Or more locally Rog is going to see post-crusty outfit the Levellers in Edinburgh the same night.
We won the pub quiz because everyone else was thick as fuck. Actually we did really well on the first few rounds, but disasterously on the last 2. Top ten highest grossing films in the UK ever (no adjustment for inflation). If you named 4 Harry Potters, 3 Tolkeins, and 3 George Lucas, you'd get 6 right, which is significantly more than us. But we won. Despite me being near-comatose through laziness. And they asked for the nearest galaxy to our own, and the quizmaster was wrong, but since we don't know about the Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy or which of the Magellanic clouds is nearer, we chose nice Andromeda and got the points, because Jenny Agutter is from there.
