well, after school yesterday i went to my car to leave and to my surprise jessica came to see me. it had already started snowing so we went to wal-wart to buy ice scrapers for our cars. we stopped at subway and then went back to einstein's parking lot next to school. by this time there was about 4 inches of snow on the ground so i started scrapping snow and ice off my car. i began to leave and in all the driving madness, it took me an hour and 20 min. to go home, which normally takes me 25 min.i took me 25 min. to get my car up the big hill on kessler going west. 25 MINUTES!!!! this would normally take 30 seconds!!!! that is fuckin nuts!!! i was passing all the north sider's with their broken down mercedes and ditched jaguars in my busted up 92' Lincoln Town Car with no rear suspension. it takes serious skills to drive a steel boat up an icey incline with boneheads in your way. i am the man at driving in the snow and ice.(knock on wood)
then i went to work. even the pacer players themselves couldn't get there on time because of the weather. the attendance was so low that the people in the balconies were asked to move downstairs to the lower levels so that the televised game wouldn't look so empty. people payed 10 bucks to sit in 120 dollar seats. all the redneck's were sitiing next to indianapolis's business elites. it definetly provided some funny moments.a guy with a mullet was sitting next to a guy in a ralph lauren suit. the circus was definetly in town. and tonight i work the niel diamond concert. pray for me.
does anyone on lj know who greg oden is? he plays for lawrence north and is the number one player in the country for high school basketball. lawrence north has 3 games nationally televised this year on espn 2(one of my dreams). lawrence north played at the ledgendary hinkle fieldhouse last night(another one of my dreams). then this morning i turn on my beloved sports center this morning to watch the top ten plays of the week.these plays are chosen on a world wide basis. every big game across the globe is taken into account. it turns out that greg oden had the number 3 AND 4 spots on the top ten plays list(my most coveted dream). how fuckin cool would it be to live in greg oden's shoes for a day? it would be a-mah-zingly cool. and to think, i have walked on the same court and played in a game against this soon to be indianapolis legend. that in itself is a dream come true.
what a weird couple of days it has been.
