Arguing with characters is futile ... especially when they are snarky Welshman with coffee addictions.

My characters don't argue with me at all. They give me helpful hints and suggestions to take into consideration.

And if I don't follow up on their comments, they will withhold any more conversations with me and ban me from writing any fic-comments. I believe they call it Blackmailing me.

I suffer from sneaky characters all the time. Character Ambush. Plot shanghai. I made the mistake of writing a prequel to a novel I wrote... totally changed the novel I wrote.
Same with fanfic.

I'm not a writer -- I just channel what the characters want to do.
