today we went to washington d.c. it was an early morning and i decided to make the best of it by getting ready in time to make it to sheetz for an mto, and most importantly, hash browns. there were no hash browns. none. not one. so i went to mcdonalds. guys, i tell the best stories. anyway, i had a really fun day with laura and jeff, took lotsa pictures, got sunburnt, went to the holocaust museum, and bought stuff. anyway, there are a lot of cute jeff and laura pictures and even more cute laura pictures because she was a good sport. and man, i just remembered, i got pushed around by strangers a lot. a lot. and beef-air came out of the hand dryers at the jefferson memorial.
so once we got there.. we spent roughy 3 hours just walking around the tidal basin, trying to find a bathroom and food, but forgetting and just taking pictures
(we later realized this was a monument to the children of the holocaust, and that maybe this was reserving us our seat in hell, but... well, it was still real funny to me)
there were singing boys on a stage and they had one little dancer, she just danced and danced and then bowed. she was the sweetest thing.
yes, i know i stole this idea, i'm unoriginal somethin' terrible
it was a good day. not so much when we passed the pentagon building and bus #1 of 3 missed the sign that said "no buses" and all 3 buses were pulled over. and even less cool when everyone had to leave the buses and stand outside in groups. apparently when they say no buses, they mean no buses, and because we had passed the pentagon twice and disobeyed a sign, we were suspicious characters. a bomb sniffing dog was brought to the scene to investigate and the police guy in charge took digital pictures of each of the bus drivers. it was somethin'.
