Not here, mind you! And I'm incredibly thankful for that. But there are a number of cool/pretty/funny things around the web related to this week's Snowpocalypse. And assorted other interesting things.

Wil Wheaton tweeted this with the caption "Today, we salute you, Mister I Made the Entire Outside World My Icebox Guy": pic

Why can't the draw be guys in kilts, for once?

I would be ALL OVER going to a restaurant where the waiters were a bunch of good looking guys wearing kilts, particularly if they wore them in the authentic Scottish fashion! Even if the food sucked!

But seriously? "Irish" nachos and "Scottish" cheese steak? WTF does that even mean?

Seriously. Which reminds me I haven't been to any of the local Renfairs in years...

if you're going to decorate all your gingerbread people in star trek fashion, OF COURSE you give them all red shirts. i mean, really. none of them are going to survive!

twin peaks? seriously? (imagine me rolling my eyes and facepalming at the same time.) so the tilted kilt is basically hooters for guys who have a thing for plaid. hmph.

Get this, Twin Peaks is currently suing another chain for trademark infringement: "Northern Exposure." *snickers like she's twelve*

altho how the hell twin peaks thinks that northern exposure is infringing on its trademark is beyond me.... totally different tv shows, guys.

Actually, the male servers DO wear kilts, as do the busboys and hosts. There's one in Atlanta and in San Diego that I've been to, and it's good, fun place to have a beer and relax. Great nachos and AMAZING hot wings. And a pretty good beer selection, if you're into that sort of thing.

Sorry, I meant to link the news story about it, which says they're only hiring female servers. It does say there may be male bartenders, who will wear kilts, but how can I admire knees if they're behind the bar? *sigh*

Mostly when I saw the sign go up I was excited for actual pub food closer to me than Dallas, like I used to get at the Mucky Duck or the Red Lion Pub when I lived in Houston. Alas.

Ah, well, that is different, then. A shame, too, because the male kilts are really nice and they make the guys wear tight t-shirts, which I approve of a lot.

And I haven't tried their pub fare, so I can't speak as to what that's like, but I can say that it's one of Troy Duffy's favorite places to hang out when he's in San Diego. *g*

...you have gotta get out of that area. Let's both move to somewhere far more hip.

Pretty much as long as Greg and Donovan (until he's an adult) live where they do, I'll live here. If you only knew how many of my future plans begin with the phrase "When I'm 50..." :D

Hey, I'm waiting for my parents to die. WHICH SOUNDS REALLY HORRIBLE, I'M SORRY. But until they do, yeah, don't really want to leave.
