We just watched the first episode of season 4 of Dr Who. So it's Dr #10 and the Run Away Bride, Donna.

Watched the last Torchwood and the new DW last night

It felt very much like a Christmas episode to me. Kept waiting for them to grow teeth or something... And yes, Donna's much more bearable when she's not doing that awful shrieking all the time :)

What did you think of the Torchwood episode? I had accidentally seen spoilers on Wikipedia (what were they thinking not labeling that stuff spoilers?), so I wasn't as shocked as I would otherwise have been. My guys complained that Capt. John Hart's personality had changed a lot since he appeared at the beginning of the season.

I liked it. I generally like the episodes RTD doesn't write better than the ones he does. I'm very careful about spoilers (we hit PAUSE very quickly at the end of each episode too!) so I didn't know what was going to happen. *sniff* Very typical.

I think it's not just that Jack has changed, but also that we're seeing him more in his context so we understand why he does certain things. The episode with the people caught by the Rift, for example, surprised me because he was so cold and apparently uncaring - we weren't used to that at all!
