I have business cards! The printer just delivered them. It's the first time I've ever had my own business cards. I'm very excited. Not that I have a lot of use for them this time of year, but they'll be very useful when we're marketing next year. I took one out of the box to check them out and had a "Who is that woman?" moment. We decided to use my formal name rather than the shorter version I usually use. On bills it looks just fine, but on linen stock with maroon accents it looks so professional that I don't feel a connection with that name. The business card belongs to a woman who wears suits and heels to work. I'm wearing cotton knits and sandals today.
All of this thrilling professionalism does not change the fact that my brain is toast today. The only thing I am able to do this afternoon is data entry (and browse the web) because I can't seem to string words together in a coherent, professional, interesting way. Sadly this means that not only can I not write letters I ought to write, but I can't post an update to my D&D character's diary either. Bummer.
