I'm still working on the third. It took ages to reach any sort of form in my brain and when it did I wound up with three pages of notes! I'm working on it, and hope to have it up by New Year ( Read more... )

Ooops! Fixed the "hordes" thing. Thank you.

I can totally see Mel acting this way - I liked her at first, but by Season 5, I thought she was a total bitch! She would do anything to get her way, especially if it thwarted Brian in some manner.

Yes, that's how I felt about her too.

I mean ... on the one hand she was always sniping about how little time Brian spent with Gus, but whenever he turned up to do that, she whinged about that too. He was in a totally no win situation from day one.

And seriously, anyone who would choose short, dumb as a brick and financially shaky Mikey to father her child just to spite Brian is seriously not fit to have children. What prospective mother (without, of course, a male partner) wouldn't want their child to have Brian's genes? Tall, gorgeous, smart and healthy. And not only wealthy, but generous with it. And, of course, that's without going into the whole HIV thing.

No, that is seriously the point at which Mel lost me. I think Emmett would have been a more reasonable choice. Or even Ted. There is seriously nothing in Michael that would have appealed to me as a genetic heritage for my child. And it was all just to spite Brian.

And maybe Lindsay as well, which is worse.

Even though Mikey didn't really show up in the story, you still managed to get him, huh?

Moi? *looks around innocently*

The whole cats and the tree thing, huh? Can sympathise. Was lucky enough to have a kitten at one time that had a yen for a career as a tree ornament. He was always climbing up and peeking at us from between the tinsel and stuff. Fortunately, he was very small, and it was a very large, and well secured tree, so he didn't do a lot of harm - although we had a bit of drama because we had to take the lights off, just in case he decided to try a nibble. Getting the lights off a fully decorated tree ... not fun. But of course my then partner having decided that he could do it without taking off any of the decorations wasn't going to back down. I left him to it. lol.

But I certainly never meant to stir any sympathy for dear widdle Mikey. Rats!

Glad you enjoyed, anyway.
