From the kids prrspective, it's all good times. From the parents? Ugh.... It's all "Now WTF am I supposed to do with them?!?!"
It doesn't help that erik had a cold. It's breaking up now - just a runny nose left, which is his usual state being a kid, anyway ("snot nosed brat" came from somewhere, right?). But it's kept us inside, and not just 'cause I'm worried he'll get more sick by going out. He barely sleeps when he's sick, so Bryan and I have been dealing with his refusal to sleep in his bed, or to just sleep at all. That level of exhaustion doesn't really make it so you wanna do squat during the day.
Today, however, I got some done, at least. Cleaned up in front of the bookshelves, around Anna's desk, and the area across from it. Anna keeps wanting to help, but completely does not grasp the concept that keeping Erik out of trouble is the biggest help she can offer. Seriously, if I don't have to stop ever ten seconds to pull him down off something he's not supposed to be on, or get him out of shit he's not supposed to be into... Yeah. (Yesterday, I turned the damned dresser around so he'd piss off with opening the drawers, ffs)
That's about all I got done today, but at least it's something, right?
Tomorrow, I'm taking Anna out for the day. We're both getting our hair cut at 10, then over to the mall. Lunch and a movie, and a bit if Ostara shopping :) Hopefully, it's fun and not just insanely stressful.... *crossed fingers*
