Our weekend was good. Bryan and Anna did some running around Saturday, ending up at his dad's to work on the mead. Anna loves helping her Daddy with his brewing, and according to Bryan she actually does help. And she's so damn proud of it!! She talks about it all the time :D
Sunday we took Anna to get her ears pierced.
She picked out her own studs, a pair of purple titanium studs.
She did really well getting them, too. And I'm quite pleased with how the store dealt with her. They didn't talk down to her at all, and they told her the truth that she didn't want to believe from us - that yes, it would hurt, but only for a minute.
Then, they marked out where on her ears to put the studs, and there was one lady on either side of her. They counted to three, and punched both holes on at the same time. I'd wondered how they were going to handle that, actually. Because if they'd done it one at a time I'd worried she wouldn't let them do a second hole :P
Anna cried. But only for a couple minutes, and I think it was more from shock than anything. Because two minutes later she was smiling and showing them off :)
Right after, she and I went to her first ever movie at the theatre. We saw Frozen, in 3D. And she was thrilled!! She sat through the entire thing, only talking a few times, and all to ask about something to do with the movie.
She wouldn't cooperate for a picture at the theatre. Sometimes, Anna just doesn't want her picture taken, and as much as I may want a picture, I try to respect her choice. I don't like having my picture taken hardly ever, so I can appreciate not wanting it done.
