As usual it's been a while since I posted, and not alot's changed. (edit: apparently more than I though, so I'll stick down a cut and you can click if you're interested)
Living with Tony's a bit odd, and now that I've had a few months to get used to it I'm settling down into a kind of routine (where-by I stay up late alot an throw off his sleeping pattern) and having the place to myself during the day makes a nice change.
We rearranged the house too, so what was Oz's room is now our living room, and the living room tony's bedroom. we've also added a big ass table to the living room and put a sofa in the hall, but I'll get to that in a bit.
Studio's going well, at least as well as it ever does, fairly regular bookings are nearly tiding us over, while the search for funding continues.
The bands are kinda all change at the minute, Tartans down to no gigs with none on the horizon, while Jeremiah's actually kinda in demand. We played two gigs this weekend past and rocked, so we're looking towards the future... it'd be nice if both bands could get on a run but it never seems to happen that way, it's always one or the other. Perhaps the world can only handle so much awesome at a time?
On the RP front alls been quiet for a while now, combination of assorted peoples ilness, absence, work and a lack of motivation on my part to really run anything has led to a drought, but it's left time for an old hobby to rear it's ugly head.
Warhammer 40K
It's an addiction, and many people have caught it, so far we've got a group of 4 core players with a few kinda hanging on at the edges, even Tony, who isnt interested in playing, is getting into the spirit of things with plans to take over the world...erm, I mean build a titan... I've got my Eldar army back up to shape with a healthy dose of ebaying, although not as much as some people I could mention.
I'm gonna get the army out in a bit, to take stock and figure out exactly what I have tucked away, so I'll see if I can find a camera and put up some pics of the lot, I'm trying to build a couple of the bigger units from scratch, since they cost over £100 each from the shop, so I'llstick up some pics of them too alongside the real thing to give you an idea how it's going.
hmmm.. what else??...
Oh, I've been asked to put on a fundraiser for a cancer charity, so I'll be getting in touh with local venues soon to see about arranging dates and what I can do to arrange some publicity and special guests.
The bank asked if I'd like a mortgage today, which was nice of them, but since I've been out of work for the last....6years I figure now might not be the best time to be taking on a massive financial commitment(beyond a warhammer addiction).
Mums off down to Portsmouth again in a week or so and that means the return of the Daisy, mums little spaniel and while I like having her around it poses three problems for me.
1. She sleeps with me, and I only have a small bed
2. Her being here kinda limits my options for social activities, unless I can find a sitter, but I've booked some time off from the studio, so that should take the burden off for part of that
3. The biggie, I really miss having Duke when she's around, but then... I doubt I'll ever realy get used to him not being underfoot.
meh
anyway, thats pretty much me for a while... ermmm...
If anyone's interested in getting a game of 40K against me, we've got a nice big table sitting in the living room now (so big in fact that we had to move the mall sofa into the hal to make room for it) so just leave a message here or catch me on msn
