soooo long since last post
Well, there's been alot going on here lately
Oz oz_not_ozzymoved in with Katherine riccuru, and Tony Jareth_M moved in here with me, so the flats been totally turned upside down and reordered, but thats all cool now, if only we could keep it tidy for more than five minutes it'd be fantastic.
Studios going ok, the semi-regular funding that drips in is tiding us over for now, no sign of enough cash to pay me, but other employment looms (see later bit). We've taken on a few new youth groups, one of which is based in a local high school and consists of a young autistic boy and his friends who want to get a band together, so I'm having quite a laugh with them.
Artisticly I've been busy as well, getting designs ready for tshirts I'm going to be selling on a new website that I'm helping to develop and test, one of the owners of which asked if I'd be willing to design them for other bands who'd be using the site on a comission basis.
We've been working on arrangements for songs with Jeremiah, and hopefuly we'll be back in the studio soon to record them when my desk gets back from being repaired.
On the job front I've been put on a course at DEAP (dundee employment and aftercare project) which runs a jobshop, so I go in every day and look for jobs, it's pretty boring, but this is the second time I've been there, the last time being about 2 years ago, and I've had a bit of deja vu.
You see last time near the end of the course one of my trainers came to me and asked for a copy of my cv because he wanted to ask his boss if they might have a job for me as a trainer helping to run the course, now nothing ever came of that, but...
TWO DAYS into the new course and my trainer came over, asked for my CV and asked if I would be interested in becoming a trainer and helping to run the course, so they've put me to work helping some of the other folk on the course who have problems with not speaking english very well and they're going to see if the boss is willing to take me on part time, which would still leave me plenty of time to keep up work at the studio, as well as maintain my hectic social schedule (i.e. sleep)
I'll let folk know if anything happens with that, but in the meantime I'll leave you with some of the soon to be available tshirt designs
