there is currently a big rescue effort for ferrets driven by this video:
https://secure.peta.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=3809 The newborn ferret is just one of thousands who were bred at Triple F
Farms, Inc., to be sold into the pet trade or animal testing industry.
Inside the Bradford County, Pa., facility ferrets were kept in small
cages with dangerous wire floors, deprived of any opportunity to burrow
or hide, and often deprived of food and water. Baby ferrets who fell
from cages and were left for dead by workers who were told to leave them
there and other ferrets who were maimed and killed when workers ran
them over with carts instead of picking them up and caring for them.
Ferrets who were thrown into the trash-and into the facility's incinerator-while still alive.
The rescue effort is primarily being organized on Facebook, if anyone is interested in piching in.
