Kittens!!
For those who are interested, Mystery just went into labor. More info and pics as things progress. She seems to prefer
sebastian_tombs to me as company, so I get to be the poster :-)
11:30pm large male grey and white kitten born (Holstein pattern), with some assistance
11:50pm larger male mostly black/grey with white underside, very active, maybe tiger stripes on face
1st kitten already nursing
12:20am 3rd kitten large grey tuxedo female, very active, already heading for the nipple as she is groomed
1st 2 kittens nursing well
1:20am 4th kitten, another dark male, born quickly
1:55am 5th kitten, grey and white female (Holstein pattern) Edit: oops, actually a girl.
8am update: These were all very large healthy active kittens at birth - no wonder she was so round! All have nursed well and Mystery is an excellent mom. She has been eating and drinking herself. There is no question she wanted company for this, she made sure someone was in the room for each birth and looked for encouragement the entire time.
Above pictures were during the birth. Here are the kittens all sleeping today.
