Fanfiction
I love fanfic. It's true - it's a guilty pleasure of mine. Well, I feel like I ought to feel guilty, but it's just so great! Crossovers are my kryptonite - I'm a sucker for a bizarre, so-crazy-it-might-just-work idea, pulled off with simple effective writing *happy place*
Fanfiction gives me the chance to dive in and go with the flow of writing in a whole range of worlds and styles and characters without having to build every single one from scratch. I've tried out dialogue only stories, screen-writing, mixed POVs, drabbles - all in fanfic. They're just throwaway little snippets, but it's all good for building the skillz ^_^
