Day 4793 Good Yule!
This has been a busy day but I got a lot done. I took Emily to the doctor for a medicine check up, Eliz to the doctor for an eye check up, different place for new glasses and Walmart for picture prints and the very very last couple of things I wanted to give people for Christmas. Oh, and new pink tights for her dance recital tonight.
The recital went well. Emily actually paid attention to what she was supposed to be doing and did it and nothing more. In other words, she tried her best and did VERY well. The costumes were way over the top for the numbers and the skill level of the dancers... I can't help wondering if the school gets a kick back.
On the way home we drove around a little looking at Christmas lights on the houses and when we got home I got Emily out of her costume and got her dinner inside her and then we put the lights on the Christmas tree listening to the Bing Crosby Christmas CD I got burned for Mom today. That and the star on top is the extent of my doings on the tree... the rest is up to Emily. She has four days while I'm at work so it should be fine.
Almost as soon as I had finished that, I got possibly the best Christmas present I could have this year... zenkitty called! I have missed her like... like... like I would miss my twin if I had one. And still do *sigh*. I have to get to New Jersey.
I may be going sometime in January... larch88 sent us a gift that arrived today. A very LARGE keyboard which will be Emily's biggest gift from "Santa". By mid-January I may be headed for New Jersey for the sole purpose of killing him for it. Obviously, he has no children. (That's what I couldn't say on the phone... Emily was listening)
