Day 837
My house is so shiny! Emily and I slept in yesterday- it was a good day for it because it rained hard all day- and then we cleaned house. She did all the windows, I did all the floors, we split the dusting and today the house is bright and clean and shiny.
The down side is that it took us most of the day and then she baked a cake (for my Mom for her birthday) and I finished up the laundry and made dinner, so mostly chores yesterday rather than fun.
I have to brag on Emily's cake- it's the first time she's ever made a cake from scratch- with boiled icing, no less- and it came out quite well. It fell in the middle but I think that's because she missed the timer and I jerked it out of the oven too hard.
