Day 904
This morning was perfect for sleeping in- pitch dark, pouring rain etc. So I had to go pick Emily up at 5:30- they got in an hour early.
Which is a bit of a problem, Alex is supposed to have food and a shot at 5:30. My solution was to give him his shot before breakfast and then feed them a little early and run out the door. When I went to give Miss Fuzz her food and pill at 6:30, I mentioned it to Mom and she tells me that I stress too much about that and it won't hurt them to wait an hour or two.
Huh? Aren't you the person that was giving me shit for being 10 minutes late for dinner one day last week? And that was just dinner- no medicine involved. Hypocrite. Besides, she worked enough nursing homes before she retired that she knows damned good and well that meds need to be given on time and if there's supposed to be 12 hours between them, an hour or two can make a LOT of difference. As it happens, if I'm very late, all the cats start to get sick to the stomach because they're too hungry. They're all getting a very high protein diet which does not last- they get really hungry before it's time to eat again. They're cats, not people, they don't store fat much (except for Anna!) and need to eat regularly.
In all events, Emily is home and crashed- she has spring break next week so she has a whole week to recover from the trip and the cold she caught. She had a good time... and she did actually fill up ALL her camera memory but partly because she took a couple of videos.
