Well, I did not get any quilting done unless you count piecing on Robert's Trees while we were at the doctor's office but I did manage to get most of the laundry done and read a quilty book. I swear, Robert's Trees is going to be finished at the doctor's offices.
Mom's doing better... but now she's back to drinking as much as she was before and that can't be good.
The kitchen faucet I replaced last year? Is dripping already. And I can't find any way to pull it apart to replace a washer- it's an extremely cheap unit and may not come apart. So this time, I'm going to spend some money and get one that's decent because in the long run, it will be cheaper than replacing it every year. The one I want is this one:
but at that price, I can't have it. On the other hand, there is one in weathered brass on
Ebay for the next four days that starts at $185. I'm considering buying it if no one else bids on it. What say you, f-list? To bid or not to bid- that is the question.
I also need to replace the kitchen floor. I can do it with the cork I want for about $250... plus getting someone to help me move the stove. When I get my tax refund next year, that's what I'm planing to spend it on. And yes, it really does need replacing. There are places where the vinyl is torn a bit and there is a melted spot where 80s dropped a pan straight out of the oven.
I have yet to solve the problem of the library window... house repairs seem never ending sometimes- mostly when I am quite tired. And I notice I need to replace the toilet seat. It's about 15 years old and has spots where the white has worn off. The toilet itself is fine- just the seat needs fixing.
