Day 2055
I ordered the floor yesterday. It has to be sent from the warehouse to the local store before I can pick it up which takes about a week, or so I'm told. So yeah, moving right along.
Yesterday I got the chair rail in the hall finished. I'm mostly very happy with it except I'm having a difficult time with this stain- it's going on thicker in some places than others and I can NOT get it to even out. Mucho thanks to 80s for helping me get the long pieces installed on the level.
Alex went bat-sh*t last night. I don't know what happened to him but he charged down the hall and over me and then kept turning around and around like he was drunk and skittering sideways into things. I made him look at me and his eyes were jiggling like one of those stupid bobble-head dolls! He seems ok this morning but I sure would like to know what happened... I theorized that the smell of the stain might have gotten to him (no one else seemed to be very effected but you never know) and opened all the windows for the night. That was scary!
I only have a few little fiddling bits to finish up before the floor gets here... and after the floor, it's just moving stuff and decorating (and building shelves) before I am finished. (When I put it that way, it doesn't sound like a lot but it is)
