so.....im sitting in the office, writing this on my laptop.....
and there is no cable connected to it. Thats right boys and girls, we have wireless. I decided that it was something we needed in the office, especially with most of us starting to work from our own laptops. Plus, it frees up a system. I even tested it, I get full signal in the lab as well.
In other good news, the $50,000 lab upgrade looks like it will be happening this semester, not next year like I thought. The even better part is that we are getting more hardware than I initially thought. 17 dual 2ghz g5 towers, 160 gig harddrive and a gig of ram, each on a dell 20.1 inch widescreen flat panel monitor. We are also getting a new server plus some other cool stuff. But, thats not the best part, not by a long shot. We are even looking into Indesign now. Think about it, no more quark, no more quark server, no more random crashes. That then limits my job to making sure the printers work right (they require a kick now and then...).
In other news, my baby is finally here and out of danceline camp. She hurt her hip but its getting better. And shes really enjoying herself and even makes fun of the drum majors. I'm happy for her, she seems really happy now.
My classes are alright, I'm gonna like graphic communication 1 even though I can't draw for crap, basic black and white will be fun, I'm gonna have a blast in my advanced comp class, I'm not sure on my science class yet, and my communication law class will be tolerable.
I gotta get going, I have class in 20 mins and I need to start walking.
O, btw, my ear and my throat hurt. Medicine is doing no good, so far atleast.
