man, i think i really neglect this journal. ok, here's a recap.
summer holiday has started. school is over, so i've been organising all my stupid work from stupid last year into stupid box files and putting them in stupid places where i won't fall over them. stupid.
summer also means lots and lots of work. for those who don't know, i work at my school as a cleanliness operative. or cleaner. haha. glamour to the max. the beauty of working at school is when there are no children, that means more cleaning can be done, hence more money. i've worked 25 hours already this holiday and there's plenty more where that came from. so, with my plentiful money, i've ordered me one of these, which should arrive tomorrow, but won't, because amazon is a gay fag. talk about a tautologism.
what else?
ah yes, lots of new music. because del is the best; i've been downloading a veritable plethora of new music, and my itunes is fit to burst. let's play the "omg! look how cool (pretentious) i am by choosing 10 random itunes songs and posting them so you can marvel over my cool (pretentious) nature and wish you were as cool (pretentious) as me" game. except these might not be all that cool. here we go. with commentary because i got bored waiting for all ten to play.

so far, this isn't going exactly to plan. where are the obscure bands? bring on the scene bands, mr shuffle. please?

i mean, really? this is a better 'fun music' playlist than i could have actually made by trying. what the fuck is up with shuffle?

much more like it. but we still haven't had any pussy ass emo or folk. why, i say. why?

haven't heard this in ages! since the 8th of may infact. super.

whilst on the subject of music; my actual band recorded a "pre-ep ep" in the past week. camping at linz's house, we used a digital 8-track recorder and plenty of takes to record three tracks, which actually sound fairly good. much better than i had anticipated in any case. for wonderous videos of these two days, including such highlights as luke messing up, linz playing stuff well, hot dog juggling, fetch set to ska, trucker hats, luke messing up, linz listening to the songs sounding pretty good, ashley giles, luke getting stuff right, and me playing bass and contriving to sound shocking, please visit the following links here and here and save the .wmv files to your computer to protect bandwidth. i thank you. i would imagine we can send some cd's to anyone who fancies one, either in exchange for cash (within the UK) or paypal, or exchange of goods (international). so we'll let you know.
other than work and music, not much is happening. the summer is pretty weak, the weather has been pretty shocking; not enough sun, too much cloud et cet et cet. this prevents the proper spending of a summer, which can be summarised in this equation:
(sun + [tim+girl] x music)+(cool beverages + grassy area - other people) = good summer.
not quite there yet. missing some key components.
oh! for anyone who is still bothered, my face has healed quite nicely. my nose is almost the same shape it used to be, and both black eyes have now receeded. i still maintain it could have been worse, if it had hit me in the mouth i would have lost some teeth for sure. so, i got out lightly.
i feel pretty good, all in all. things are going well, you know? my friends seem to be, erm, settled (?), and i have nothing to really complain about. well, apart from all this.

~ i wouldn't mind the company of a certain few females this summer

+++++ you know how fucking evil irony is? after i waited 10 songs for some cool tracks to put on my playlist and then they didn't turn up, track number 11 is a 7 minute long indian summer song, which a pretty, pretty girl sent to me. so maybe itunes does have it in for me.
