there is not a day that goes by that i do not expect to learn something new. there is always struggle, there is always laughter. Put me in a room without any object and i might go crazy. Someone once asked me what i would do if i was placed in a white room with no windows, or doors. My answer was to fall asleep. This is supposed to be what you think of after life, how you would handle it. well going to paris is going to be such a huge shock for me. all that is familiar will be gone, and as long as i have something to do within those white walls for this season of my life, i will be fine. paper, ink, brushes and books......music. its all going to get me through it. im not comparing it to afterlife other than it will be a completely different year than any i have ever experienced. i have no idea what to expect and i love that i dont know. I sound like im going somewhere horrible, but really i just know myself. i know that it will be a huge and distinctively wonderful change for me. I know i will regret not going earlier in my life, i know that there is nothing more in the world that i want to do right now then to have my ticket handed to me to get on that plane.
just when you think that you have gone numb, when you actually verbalize and accept that its been awhile to feel something, someone always makes an entrance. ha ha to take you on adventures, and to sweep you off your feet when you least expect it. i would like to sit down with fate and have some tea. ask her why she does what she does. shake her hand, and ask her for advice. fate is a bit overrated. i think we give her too much credit, and less to ourselves. does fate tell you how to feel after she has given you something? nope. i already miss so many things and im not even leaving until the end of december. But im thankful for the things i miss because it only means im growing, im learning, and im going or am already somewhere new. melanie, mary, rachel, this is for you, haha for all the times i meant to call. this is a bit of whats going on with me, i miss you.
